Job Summary:
The Telecom Network Analyst is primarily responsible for analyzing and auditing telecom clients’ network facilities inventory for accuracy, cost savings, and network optimization opportunities in support of their long-term network plans. As an Analyst, you will query various data warehouses to ensure that the network data is accurate, and identify facilities that can be eliminated or consolidated to other facilities.

Job Responsibilities:
A typical day for a Telecom Network Analyst may include the following responsibilities and tasks:
- Research and audit network circuits across multiple data sources
- Utilize LEC web-based ordering systems, billing systems, circuit design records, and network inventory systems to perform research or documentation supporting recommendations
- Complete basic to intermediate queries using Business Objects
- Perform basic to intermediate actions in MS Excel
- Attend daily conference calls to represent the status of your project
Job Qualifications:
The following skill sets will be required of the candidate: Attention to detail, ability to learn quickly, solid written and communication skills, analytical/problem solving, and intermediate MS Excel skills.
Familiarity with interconnect and wireless carrier network concepts and topology is required, including knowledge of the legacy TDM circuit interconnection hierarchy. The Analyst should be able to understand carrier engineering design and options to circuit mapping. Knowledge of Carrier Access Billing (CABS) and Access Tariffs are also beneficial.
Experience is required in one or more of the following areas:
- Auditing work
- Network design or planning
- Provisioning
- Telecom cost management
- Telecom pricing
